Controls
  • WASD/Arrow keys (or non-QWERTY equivalent) - Move the ball
  • Space - Start/restart game (initial load will take some time)
  • Shift/Kp 0 - Activate Melon-meter (if full)
How to Play

Get to the end of the level before the timer runs out! The more levels you complete, the higher your score. But beware, the more levels you clear, the lower the timer goes...

Collect melons to increase your score even more! If you run into a rare golden melon, it won't give you bonus points, but once you collect three, you'll get an extra life. If you already have three lives, grab three more golden melons to get a crown for massive amounts of points!

Collecting melons also fills your Melon-meter. Once full, activate it to protect yourself from (some) stage hazards! (this actually only does a thing on one level, sorry)

About

This game is extremely WIP and came about from me recently getting hooked on endless runners after joking about sludge content with a friend, as well as me just wanting to get more experienced with Godot. This just happened to coincide during when the art contest was happening, so I decided to try to get things in a playable state before that ended (hence the very placeholder particle/sound effects, only having like five levels, weird camera, etc.).

Do eventually plan to work some more on it Eventually™, but it'll probably take a while before that happens.

This game is based off of Tower Unite's Ball Race game world. Tower Unite is property of Pixeltail Games.

"Sunshine Day" sound effect is from Tower Unite, while the "holla holla get dollar" sound effect is from this video.  All other assets are either CC0 or created by myself.

Neat concept! I'd love to see this get refined a little more.
